So today I just ordered what I believe to be my 8th or 9th pair of the McGuffey Plain Toe, so I feel immensely qualified to comment. First the negative. . . Clearly I like them a lot, aside from 3 issues in the past. 1) One pair was inexplicably cut tight in the outside toe area and my pinky toes suffered through a lengthy break-in period (I've always ordered 9. 5 M). I managed to survive. 2) On two occasions, the laces were so short that tying them securely was nearly impossible. This is exacerbated by the fact that the style of lace on this shoe seems to find its way loose too easily. The positive. . . It is a super attractive and comfortable shoe that I consider reasonably durable (and I'm pretty tough on shoes). Lastly, the look has a good range, in that it can handle both casual and more formal wear very well. Versatile is perhaps a good descriptor for the McGuffey. Strongly recommend. Good value.

Very comfortable, but the size is a little deceiving. I bought a 10 which fits me but I had to buckle the strap closest to my ankle to one more whole. If I hadn't done that they would fly off my feet. I actually ordered a 10 1/2 I got the 10 but the 10 and a half was too big. The size 10 just fit me. I would think that these would be good for people with wide feet. They have rubber on the bottom but right above the rubber is cork. I would never wear these if it was raining or if it had rain and there was wet ground. I think it would ruin these shoes. As you can tell from the picture my foot goes almost to the very back of the shoe and my toes don't go to the very front, thank goodness, because I don't like toes hanging over sandals. But because I tightened the one strap my foot won't go in any further. I have narrow to medium size feet. But overall these are good shoes and at a very good price compared to Birkenstocks.

These shoes are amazing, perfect dupes for Burks. The only reason why I'm issuing four stars instead of five is because I received the color stone instead of mocha. Apparently stone is in, so I haven't gone about trading them in for the right color. Call it lazy... lol.

I had purchased the “brown” color which appeared to be a darker color on Amazon. Not sure if the wrong color was sent or if they actually are supposed to appear this light. Aside from the difference in color these sandals are super comfortable and the quality is great. I never returned the pair that arrived because I needed them for a specific event so I just kept the ones that arrived. Honestly though, they are worth the price and the color difference is the very least of my concern when it comes to finding a good pair of footwear.

I got these hoping they would replace a pair that I've had for years, but no joy. These are comfortable and true to size, and the adjustable straps mean that they'll work OK for different width feet. However, the footbed has no arch support. There isn't even a padded bump in the arch area that flattens out when you put weight on it, it's just completely flat. Since I actually need arch support and got these for that reason, they won't work for me. If all you are looking for is an expensive slide in this style, then you'll probably be ok with them.

These are a great Birk dupe - very comfortable, the straps do not cut into my feet. The size is pretty exact and since these should be worn a little big (like flip flops), I recommend getting a size up. I'm a 7.5, so I got the 8/8.5 and they're perfect. Will be buying again once I wear these out. :)

Cute footbed sandals, comfy and casual. The footbed bottom does look like cork and are thick and sturdy. The straps are not leather or suede but a thick yet flexible felt. So the quality is not a good as some of the other dupe footbed sandals. Not sure how long these will hold up, but they are soft and look just as nice. Easier to break in.
